Making Music in the Cloud is a research project about music-making in the home studio and online creative collaboration. The researcher is Elaine Lally, from the Communication Studies academic group, University of Technology, Sydney. The primary focus is on amateur and hobbyist musicians who are making music for the love of it and as a form of self-expression, rather than on professionals aiming for commercial success. The outcomes will be a book (via Intellect, a UK-based academic publisher) and possibly also other publications (such as conference presentations and academic journal articles).
People to be interviewed for the project are currently being sought — click on the Call for Participants link for more information.
